Mahalia Barnes has been in and around music her entire life. Throughout her childhood years she was exposed to everything from Ray Charles, Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett to Ike + Tina Turner, Aretha Franklin, Donny Hathaway and Stevie Wonder, all of which helped shape her into the powerhouse soul and blues vocalist that has jaws dropping every time she picks up a mic. Mahalia and her band, The Soul Mates, have released three albums and consistently play to capacity crowds around the country.

Being born into Australian rock royalty, influenced by her father Jimmy Barnes, Mahalia naturally began singing at a very young age, but professionally since she was 16. She’s carved out her own original music career with her band The Soul Mates as well as incredible solo performances that have everyone encapsulated by her unique sound.

Frontman of west coast Australian rock n roll luminaires, Eskimo Joe, acclaimed songwriter Kav Temperley is one of the Australia’s greatest performers. The eight time ARIA Music Award winner Kav has been highly productive post Eskomo Joe, with a decade of recording and touring he has rediscovered himself and released new work in 2016 that has seen a different side of him, diving deeper into love and devotion. His solo acts are a not to be missed performance.

What Tickets are available?

Chant Du Vin features two ticket types.

  • General Admission: Entry to the event.
  • VIP Admission: Your ticket includes a VIP access lanyard, exclusive access to the top viewing deck of the Aviary double decker bus, and an exclusive “VIP only” premium wine tasting personally selected by the winemakers.

What are the set times?

Artist set times will be made available on the week of performance.

What about Food And Drinks?

A selection of fine wines, beverages and food will be available at the event. Pre-sales of packages will be made available and will be announced on the lead up to the event. Light snacks are permitted into the event space to cater for specific dietary requirements.

Photo ID

This event is an 18+ event. Proof of age photo ID is required to purchase and consume alcohol, and persons who are under 18 years of age will not be admitted.

Acceptable ID

  • Current and valid Australian Photo Driver’s Licence or Learner’s Permit.
  • Passport (either current or expired less than 2 years ago and has not been cancelled).
  • Australian Birth Certificate (copy is okay) PLUS a Current Photo ID (e.g. student card). We must be able to verify both your age and your photo ID, we cannot accept one without the other.


The venue and promoter reserves the right to deny entry to and/or evict intoxicated patrons or under-age patrons. No open alcohol can be removed from the festival site.


  • Entry is at own risk. The right to refuse entry is reserved.
  • Strictly non smoking site.
  • Chant Du Vin and the venue shall not be held liable for any loss, injury or damages sustained entering or within the premises.
  • All persons, bags and containers are subject to a full search at entry to ensure the safety of patrons.
  • Prohibited items will be confiscated except illegal drugs, which will be handed over to police.
  • If you are found intoxicated or involved in illicit drug use on premise you will be ejected immediately from the event, with no refund of ticket
  • Remember to bring your ticket and ID.
  • Chant Du Vin reserves the right to refuse entry to any patron without appropriate identification.
  • The only forms of valid photo ID that will be accepted are; Current Australian Driver’s License, Current Passport, Current state issued photo or proof of age card.
  • This event is strictly an 18+.
  • You will not be able to purchase or consume alcohol unless you have valid photo ID and of legal age.
  • In the case of an emergency evacuation or situation, please follow all official directives.
  • As members of the audience, ticket-holders consent to being included in photos, sound and live audio recordings that can be used by the promoter or promoter approved media outlets for promotion of the event.
  • Lost property will be held as a courtesy for two days’ post event. After this time lost property will be transferred to the local Police station.
  • Chant Du Vin accepts no responsibility for the loss or damage of any personal property at the event.

  • Laser pointers.
  • Knives, guns or other dangerous weapons including potential missiles.
  • Skateboards, scooters, rollerblades or bicycles.
  • Glass or breakable containers.
  • Cans or metal containers.
  • Tents, marquees, folding tables.
  • Video and audio recording devices including GoPros (other than mobile phones).
  • Professional still cameras (small still cameras are allowed).
  • Any other items considered illegal or dangerous.
  • Strictly no animals. (with the exception of service or assistance animals, such as guide dogs)

Can I bring a chair or rug?

Bring your own camping chair or picnic rug.
